White plastic balls will be used.
The Teams Fast 3 Championships will be held under ITTF Laws of Table Tennis, except that matches will only be best of 3 games – no deuce.
Appropriate Table Tennis clothing must be worn.
All players to be eligible must be registered/ financial member of their State or Territory Association.
Teams consist of two players.
Rubbers are best of 3 games only, no deuce with the first to 11 wins.
Initially groups of four teams play each other in a round robin format where a match consists of 5 rubbers: four singles and a doubles.
Then there is a knock-out phase where the top 4 teams play off for the Open, the next 4 teams play off for the Plate (2nd placed in the round robins), the next 4 teams play off for the Bowl ( 3rd placed in the round robins) and the last 4 teams play off.
In the knock-out phase, the first team to 3 wins where one rubber is the doubles.
Prize money is divide up where all the teams in the Open receive money; first and second teams in the Plate and Bowl also receive money.
Matches commence at 9.00am, players need to register 15 minutes before the starting time.
AS THE NUMBER OF TABLES IS LIMITED, ENTRIES WILL HAVE TO BE RESTRICTED TO 16 TEAMS MAX.
TEAMS WILL BE SEEDED BASED UPON RATINGS CENTRAL CURRENT RATINGS
